Can I REALLY know that for sure?

Yes, You CAN KNOW!

We live in uncertain times, but having Christ as your personal Saviour is something you want to be CERTAIN of in this world! We do not have to fear death. YOU can KNOW that you have eternal life! 

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. I John 5:13 

#1 Know God Loves You!

God loves you and has a plan for your life. 

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness: but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

#2 Realize You Are a Sinner

God made man in His own image. Unfortunately, our sins have separated us from a HOLY GOD. He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. Disobeying God began with Adam, the very first man created.

Wherefore, as by one man [Adam] sin entered into the world and death by sin; so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Romans 5:12 

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 

#3 Understand You Owe a Debt

The Bible tells us that because of our sinfulness we are not worthy of Heaven, but rather we are deserving of eternal punishment in Hell. This means separation from God for ALL eternity. 

For the wages of sin is death…  Romans 6:23a

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  Revelation 20:14

#4 Understand Your Sin debt Has Been Paid

All of our sins were laid on Christ at the cross of Calvary. His sacrifice was so pure, it covered the entire sin debt of humanity past and present. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, arose from the dead and is alive forevermore. We are not worthy of heaven on our own merit, but through Christ our sins are forgiven.

…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23b

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

Now, It’s YOUR Turn

You must make a willful decision to accept Christ’s payment for your sin.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  Romans 10:9

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Romans 10:13

#5 Receive Christ As Your Savior

You can make that decision today by praying in your heart, something like this:

Dear Lord,

I know that I am separated from you because of sin. I cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn to you alone to be my Saviour. Please save me and take me to Heaven when I die. I am trusting you alone for salvation. Thank you Lord for saving me! 

In Jesus Name, Amen.

#6 Get Assurance of Salvation

Once you have received Christ as your Saviour you belong to him eternally.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one. John 10:27-30
